The chopped residue is discharged behind the machine and distributed across the soil surface as a mulch layer, or can be subsequently incorporated by disc harrowing. Both surface mulch and incorporation provide agronomic benefits.
Yes. AWL stocks Landforce residue chopper blades (free-swinging hammers and Y-blades) in Nairobi. Blades should be inspected after each use and replaced when wear reduces chopping effectiveness.
