Frequently asked questions
The polyethylene tank and stainless/plastic wetted parts are compatible with the full range of registered agricultural herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and foliar fertilisers used in Kenya. Always flush thoroughly between chemical types.
At a typical application rate of 150 L/ha and 9 m boom width, one 400-litre fill covers approximately 2.5–3.0 hectares. Higher-volume applications will reduce this; lower-volume herbicide programmes may cover more.
Please confirm with AWL at point of sale. Some configurations offer manual fold booms; others offer hydraulic folding for faster headland turns. Contact our sales team for current specifications.
Calibration involves setting nozzle flow rate at target pressure, measuring actual spray width, and calculating speed for the target application volume. AWL can provide a calibration procedure sheet with every purchase.
Yes. AWL stocks standard flat-fan nozzles compatible with the Soilmaster sprayer boom. Nozzles should be checked regularly for wear and replaced when flow rate deviation exceeds 10%.
